Sunday:

Sun Rise Hike:
Meet at the Beach for a sun rise walk. We will be the first family of the week to take a walk on the beach kicking off the summer 2013 Vacation season!
7:00AM---9:00AM
Island Tour:
We will break into two groups:  Group one will go on a one hour cycling tour of the local sites: Night Herron Park including: water park, Nature center, snack bar, basketball courts, soccer fields, and a view of the lake. The Sanctuary:  complimentary cup of coffee, pastries, cookies, historic rooster statue. Return to the condo.
Group two relaxing while viewing the gators in the pond, May I suggest a shower during this time.
When group one returns to the condo, group two will go on the tour, as group one looks for gators and a possible shower.
9:00AM –11:45AM

Shopping excursion:
This activity takes some pre-work (you must make your shopping list on your own time) we will all head out to the grocery store, first stop will be the Piggy Wiggly, followed by Newton Farms.
11:45AM—12:00PM
Put food away
12:00PM—3:35PM
Middleton Place
Dating back to c. 1741, Middleton is a National Historic Landmark with an Inn, restaurant, America's oldest landscaped Gardens and Stableyard demonstrations of life in the 18th century. The magnitude of this plantation is awe-inspiring!

3:35PM—3:48PM
Beach preparation:
This is very important! My experience dictates that 13 minutes is required to get ready for the beach (bathing suit, sunscreen, head gear, glasses, books etc.) and walk to the beach. There is a challenge for someone because, they must be able to get ready and get down to the beach and put up the new beach umbrella, before rest of us arrive in 13 minutes.
3:49PM-5:00PM
Open beach time
Sit back and reflect on the enjoyable tour of Middleton Place.
5:00PM-6:00PM
Wine and cheese
Every day we will have a new selection of cheese, and crackers, fruit, or any kind of light snack that will complement the all mighty Rex. After each individual has their glass of Rex, NO ONE can start to taste the fine bouquet they are holing, until we look up the beach at the Sanctuary and statue the almighty Rex.
6:00PM—7:00PM
Pre-dining preparation
If you would like the opportunity to cleanse yourself of the sun block, sand, and salt from the water, this is your time for that or free time if you want to eat dinner in you beach attire.
7:00PM—9:00PM
Family dining
See Ash dinner schedule, for the who’s and what.
9:00PM—9:45PM
Moon light stroll on the beach

You will be dismissed at 5:18 to go back to the condo to ensure that you have dinner on the table at 7:00

Family Beach Picture:
Bring your smiles for our annual family portrait! All will gather on the Beach at 20 minutes prior to sunset to take our annual family portrait.  Attire for the shoot will be provided by the fashion coordinator, at a later date.
South Carolina Aquarium
The Aquarium boasts they are Charleston's most visited attraction. And why not?! Kids and adults alike will be amazed at all the animals and history throughout. It's a great place to view the harbor too. Check out their new Albino Alligator Exhibit or even pet the stingrays! Too much to share here, you need to check it out yourself.

The Battery/ White Point Gardens
The Battery is located at the southern most tip of the Charleston Peninsula, where Murray Blvd. and East Battery (East Bay) Street meet. Part of The Battery is White Point Gardens and collectively they are the landmark that helps to define Charleston. If you don't have time to walk it, I highly recommend a leisurely drive-by to view the impressive mansion architecture and glorious oak trees! My first recommendation though would be to walk the park to indulge in the 18th century cannons, historical statues, picturesque gazebo and a perfect view of Fort Sumter in the harbor. In my book, your visit to Charleston is not complete without heading down to the Battery! Catch Rainbow Row on East Bay st. on your way there.

Old City Market
The Market is consistently on our Things To Do In Charleston Top 10 Best list! A must see!
Dating back to 1841, Market Street features independent merchants selling their wares in an open air setting, including Gullah ladies weaving the ever famous sweetgrass baskets. The street is also lined with specialty shops and restaurants
SpiritLine Dinner Cruise
Nothing beats a three hour evening cruise on the water! Especially when it comes with a multi-course dinner, live music and exceptional views of the Charleston Harbor!

Waterfront Park
Bring a change of clothes for the kids on the hot summer days! They'll want to join others running through the fountain at the end of Vendue Range. In fact, one of these days I'm going to do it myself! Then enjoy a leisurely swing on the pier while looking for dolphins in the Harbor with the USS Yorktown as the backdrop. The Pineapple fountain of Charleston can also be found here with other intimate gardens and jogging paths along the water's edge.
