What is hidding in those trees

Once again, there we certain individuals, who took the mandatory fun, established ground rules, all of which were decreed by the IG and acted as if they were non-existent.  That be it as it may, 6, 6A and 62, did muster in the driveway for the morning bike ride, while 4,7,8,32 sat on their butts watching good morning America, 61 was getting her free coffee, OA reading a book, 71 sleeping and 63 wondering where everyone was. In other words all but 6,6A and 62 were wasting precious time earned  by working  the previous 365 day, by being nothing better than slugs. The ride was absolutely wonderful, the air was crisp, sun was bright and the path was sooth. When we go for a bike ride, it seems that the big attraction is to look at all of the houses, the conversation turn to how nice the doors, steps, windows, drive ways and the facades on the house, but never once do we notice the wonders that nature has to offer. The path goes thru several different eco systems, you start out with large tree so deep that you at time feel claustrophobic, one them moves into an area where the palm trees and flowering trees dominate your vista’s, and then move to area where miles of swap grass fill the horizon.  One never takes the time to see the millions of sub stories that are constantly developing in each tree, bush, flower and blade of grass. Back to the bike ride, the three of us followed our usual path and road out to the last marsh before you enter the Ocean course. The tradition is to stop at the last marsh, take a drink of water, wipe the sweat from your head, turn the bike around and peddle back to the condo. As we were performing our designated tasks (once again established by the IG), 6A made the observation that we had yet to see a gator, and that was unacceptable. This lead the IG to make an additional decree: We must slow down at each body of water we pass until we see a gator. As the IG ‘s word is final, off we went slowing at each pod we passed until to 6’s wondering eyes should appear, but a 14 foot gator swimming along side of us, honoring the direction of the IG.  6 informed the other of the pending gator sighting , 6A stopped along sig of 6,  62 stopped  beside palm tree and we all gazed in wonderment at the sight of that gator.  6 being the protector and was not impressed sight of just another gator, began to absorb the beauty of the area we chose to watch the gator. Looking at the palm tree that 62 had chosen to lean against, noticed a small lizard was making a futile attempt to scale the tree. It was better than watching animal planet on a 72 inch HDTV, as time progressed, 6 quickly figured out why the lizard was having such a difficult time making any progress climbing the tree, as it turns out there 6 foot water moccasin enjoying a morning snack. At this point in time, 6 felt the need to alert 62 that 2 feet above her head was a struggle typical of nature between a lizard and a snake.  Clearly shaken, 62 was determined to find out why 6 was making such a commotion.  62 movements clearly allowed the snake for an instant to notice that 62 was within striking distance, thus allowing the lizard to escape from the tight jaws of the venomous beast.  The lizard fell to the ground, the snake retreated back into the tree, 62 jumped on the bike, 6A followed as they took off like a bat out of hell, as 6 was left alone with the 14 foot gator moving ever closer. All was good, the life of the lizard was spared, and the snake a nice piece of tail for breakfast.  6A and 62 experienced the wonders of nature, and 6 were left behind with a gator.

Words of wisdom: If one doesn’t take the time to seek knowledge, one will never become aware of what happens around them every day.
